Texas man remembered fondly after fatal motorcycle accident

A serious problem facing motorcycle riders each time they hit the road is that many other drivers simply do not see them. No matter how riders adjust the noise capability on their mufflers, the smaller silhouette of a bike is often overlooked by drivers conditioned to watch for cars and trucks. A collision between a motorcycle and a larger vehicle may result in catastrophic injuries. One Texas family is mourning the loss of a loved one who suffered fatal injuries when the driver of a car apparently failed to see him.

His loved ones described him as a giant, big in heart and body. However, the size of his body apparently did not make him more visible to the driver of a pickup truck who pulled into his path one recent morning. The truck was entering the highway from a side street when the driver failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming motorcycle. The 38-year-old biker did not have time to avoid a collision and crashed into the truck.

Passersby stopped to help the injured man, but they were unable to do more than comfort him until paramedics arrived. The man was transported by helicopter to the hospital and died a short time later. The driver of the truck may face charges when the investigation is complete.

Loved ones remember the victim of the motorcycle accident as someone who brought joy to people's lives and made sure everyone he met felt loved. Now facing the loss of such a presence in their lives, the family may struggle to cope. Others in Texas who suffer similar heartaches often seek answers and guidance by consulting personal injury attorneys who can help them determine the steps to take if they choose to pursue lawsuits against the drivers determined to be responsible for the deaths of their loved ones.
