Texas car accident claims 3 young lives

Fatal accidents on busy interstates are not uncommon events. However, a recent tragic accident on a Texas highway has left authorities with many questions. For unknown reasons, an SUV was traveling south in the northbound lanes around 9 p.m., creating chaos and terror for those on the road. Despite efforts of police to stop the vehicle, the event ended in disaster.

In news video, witnesses described the construction zone where the accident took place. With concrete barriers on either side of the two lanes, there was no place for drivers to go to avoid the collision. When the SUV struck a car head-on, the vehicle following the car rear-ended it, sandwiching it between the two vehicles. Other drivers swerved to avoid the accident, sustaining minor damage to their own vehicles.

The three occupants in the car hit by the SUV died at the scene, and several others were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the SUV and his passenger were transported by helicopter to area hospitals. Police expect to file charges as the investigation continues.

The victims were between the ages of 28 and 37. The devastation of this accident has undoubtedly left the families and friends of the victims in shock. In situations like these, loved ones may feel a range of emotions, from sorrow to anger, as they struggle to cope with their loss. When seeking peace of mind following a senseless car accident, Texas families have the right to consult an attorney to discuss the merits of a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver who is believed responsible for their loss.
